Our Approaches and Beliefs
What we stand for:-
Here are a few of our business philosophies and values, things which undoubtedly
influence the way in which we will work with you:-
-
We believe in the amazing potential that all human beings possess.
-
We believe that our role is for us to leave your system
and your people more capable than when we started so our intent is
to pass on critical skills.
-
We therefore prefer to work with you and your internal resources
to both design and deliver interventions. We believe that this method
provides better solutions and greater ownership and understanding.
-
We do not sit with a shelf-load of solutions and programmes, waiting
to implant them into your organisation. We believe in listening to
your needs and creating an appropriate and bespoke solution that will
work for you.
-
We always work on the basis of "No Surprises" - meaning
we always clearly contract with you (Our Customer) before we start
work, so you understand both the outcomes (and the process) and the
financial implications of the work.
-
We will work in a completely transparent way with you, we do not
believe in smoke and mirrors; we'll be honest with you and share our
thoughts our processes and our models with you.
-
We believe in working with each person on their "Towering Strengths",
helping people recognise what it is that they are good at, what their
true talents are, and helping them to develop these and then to capitalise
on them. We like to help people to be confident enough to leverage
theses skills more effectively. That does not mean that we ignore
" Development needs", (We call it rounding off rough edges)
but we do favour a greater focus on the positive aspects rather than
on the weaker elements of the individual or organisation. ("Appreciative
Enquiry" approach).
-
We absolutely believe in adding the maximum amount of value to any
project that we engage in.
-
We work at all levels of change, the task or "What we do"level,
working to keep the organisation ahead of today's rampant global consumerism.
-
We work at the Process level or "How we do things". Whilst
Kaizan or continuous improvement is a key skill in today's organisation,
it is one that is often overlooked.
-
Finally, and in our opinion perhaps the most important area (ignore
it at your peril!) we work at the Relationships level.
All companies are living systems and involve people. We believe that
the better the interconnectivity, the better the relationships, the better
and more wide spread the people skills of an organisation,
.
The more effectively it is likely to work and the better the outputs.
The hard stuff is easy
The soft stuff is hard
The soft stuff is more important than the hard stuff

The Action Learning
Process
We also firmly believe in the fact that any newly acquired skills need
nurturing. It is a waste of time and money to just send people on training
workshops without facilitating their return to work and helping them to
use of those new skills and behaviours in the real world so
we use a process labelled Action Learning with many of our
training interventions
Without Action there can be no learning
Reg Revans
-
Action Learning links the learning and training scenario with the
real live workplace
-
Each Action Learning Session focuses on real live issues and dilemma's
that delegates have or are facing in making changes to their behaviours
or style.
-
The process is underpinned by the Learning Cycle here we use one
of the well established and well recognised models. When appropriate
we also use accelerated learning techniques.
-
Action Learning works on the basis that people learn best when they
receive both high levels of support ( to make changes) and high levels
of challenge ( when they do not make changes agreed on)
-
Sessions normally end with time for reflection and ongoing personal
planning, "What I will be doing differently on my return to work?".
Action Learning is a truly profound and highly practical technique (developed
by Reg Revans) which truly helps individuals and groups use the full breadth
of the learning cycle and connect business activity and new learning.
With its key principles of both high support and high challenge it provides
a forum in which participants can work with their own and organisational
changes.
All Transition Partners Consultants have been trained and advocate the
appropriate use of this facilitation style.
We also participate in our own Action Learning sets as part of our own
ongoing development.
We believe that if one is to work in the learning and development environment
that one actually needs to be in the process as well - Lifelong
Learning and ongoing development.

Transition Partners Associations
Transition Partners work with associates to perform their projects, and
occasionally we work as associates to other enterprises. We are careful
to ensure that when we associate it is with partners with whom we share
some key values and where we feel that by associating we are offering
our customers a "value adding" opportunity. We are pleased to
list below some of the key associates with whom we are both pleased and
proud to be in association with and add a web link where appropriate.
