Change Consultancy

This is the arena that Transition Partners thrives in, over the years we have been fortunate to have had opportunity to work at just about every level of change in organisations.
We know that Change is tough. We know that people resist change, especially change imposed upon them, and we know that leadership, the right sort of leadership, is critical to initiate and effect successful changes.
We also know that constant change is crucial to survival in the business world and that companies today must have change skills as a core competency. It's a tough arena and one where many initiatives fail to reach their intended targets. So getting the ingredients right is absolutely vital if you want effective change.

The challenges of change are almost always different.
However, we also know that there are several “best practises” or ingredients that facilitate effective and lasting change. The key is finding the right way of bringing these practises together to meet and move through the change that you or your company wants or needs to make.

Part of our approach will be:-

  • To get as far inside the company as possible, understand what is going on (or not as the case may be)

  • To work with the individuals involved to understand the key issues and barriers.

  • Then we consider how to approach and design (or preferably to co-design) and deliver an intervention that will make the critical difference. This preparatory phase means asking questions, observing, challenging, gathering and interpreting data that helps all parties understand what is actually happening.

  • Only with this picture clear and agreed do we believe it timely to move onto the “what to change” and “how to go about it” part of the journey.

  • Change is almost always about people and we believe one of the secrets to change is finding the right way to engage with people, to ensure that we are truly communicating with people. Communicating not broadcasting!

Our Experience with Change:-

  • At organisational level we have been involved in and led large scale major organisational changes, redefining the organisation, redesigning the way work gets done and departments are organised.

  • We have worked with Corporate Boards, helping the members to be clear on their Vision, Mission and Goals, then to create and finally implement new strategies that deliver key goals. This involves the board leading by example which often requires personal changes as well.

  • We have helped to both co-create and then to cascade major change initiatives necessitating the need to understand and embrace corporate values and to help people to both articulate and then to live the changes in behaviour that those values entail.

  • At team levels we have worked with both single teams and also with inter-team groups to help people better understand and improve the ways in which they work together.

So, if you approaching a change in your organisation or you want to make some personal changes in the way you do business, we'd be more than pleased to hear from you.

Change can be messy, change can be confusing! Change is often likened to being in a maze with a blindfold on.

We'll be happy to partner with you, help you to find the right route through or around the maze and get you to where you need to be, ideally better equipped to flourish in tomorrow's business environment.

Managing change is like teaching a herd of elephants to dance.

Not only do you have to teach them the steps and the moves
but when the music changes you have to be able to get them to change the dance altogether and enable them to dance in time to…

the waltz
the quickstep
the cha cha

...and keep in step!
